RAM-MAN
Members - Andy B - Vocals, Paul - Bass/Vocals, Andy G - Guitar/Vocals, Shent - Guitar, Daz - Drums Bio - "Where did the name R.A.M-M.A.N come from?! Did it emerge from their respect for an 80's cartoon hero who broke through walls with his head? Or, does it stand for 'Revolt Against Man-Made Atrocities Now'? Who knows?!!! Who gives a shit?!!! When the band was formed in August 2001, nobody could sing, nobody could play and they hardly had any equipment. So nothing has changed a lot really then, ha ha!!!!!!....... R.A.M-M.A.N began life as a fast & catchy punk band but went on to become much faster and hardcore sounding as time went on. They have played in many parts of the UK, the Netherlands and have ventured to Germany. They started with 1 guitarist but in June 2002, Shent was thrown in on lead to add more power and depth to their songs. This was definitely when their harder and more aggressive sound began to creep in. The band had another good mate on drums for the first 2 years, but in June 2003 John stepped down to concentrate on his other band, Swaktang. Daz (formerly of Eastfield) took over and has been with them since. Their songs always mean something important to them and the lyrics are as important as the music. Their first EP J.R HARTLEY IS A KILLER (Aug 2002) was a fast and catchy CD recorded at Paul's home and is no longer available anywhere. Material on FUCK SOCIETY (May 2004) was a lot harder and faster than their early songs and this has continued onto the YOU CAN'T FOOL ME demo (Nov 2004). This was followed by a split EP with The Nihilists and Radiation Angels called THE NEW BREED (Nov 2005). The track 'False Hate' from this split featured on the 'Angry Scenes Volume 1' compilation CD (March 2006), which also featured the likes of DRONGOS FOR EUROPE, CONTEMPT, THE RESTARTS, 4 PAST MIDNIGHT, ASSERT, THE CRACKED ACTORS and FLEAS & LICE to name but a few. All their material is self-recorded and 100% DIY and a new album called TOXIC HASTE is in the pipeline." - Taken from - www.ram-man.co.uk
