We have already started writing for our next record. DFE can be seen in a town near you - as we are gigging constantly (around 50 a year) with tours of Europe in May with our punk brothers Contempt plus an invitation to play the British Invasion in October in California plus possible dates around that. Drongos for Europe refuse to fit into categories or sub genres - we are what we always have been - A Punk Rock Band" - taken from www.myspace.com/drongosforeurope

Review - Taken from Drongos myspace page - "Without doubt one of the most exciting Punk bands playing anywhere in the World today. From the brilliant Barcode Generation to Hotline to Hades the Drongos are no longer playing the best Punk Rock in the UK but clearly setting the standard for Punk to come. Intelligent Exhilirating.Honest. Quite simply- Brilliant." Kerrang! Radio ] If, like myself, you've been following the punk/hardcore scene pretty devoutly since 1980, it goes without saying that there's a damn good chance you'll end up forgetting or missing a band here and there. And I'm not sure how it happened, but somehow, somewhere along the way yours truly missed out on the UK's Drongos For Europe. Originally formed in 1979, the Birmingham punk band released a number of singles before splitting in 1985. 1987 saw Drongos For Europe back together, with the years following seeing the band through a long period of inactivity, only to come back to life once again: refreshed and stronger than ever. Unlike most bands that have been around for the better part of a little over two decades, Drongos For Europe hasn't wimped out, nor has the band stagnated, playing music that's merely going-through-the-motions or tragically stuck in the past. Having honed their craft, rather than selling out, it is without any doubt that these crusty, old punk bastards can definitely teach the new kids a trick or two. The band lays down 14 tracks of catchy-as-fuck, anthemic punk that's filled with melody and backed by production that packs a serious punch. Guitars on the disc are particularly tasty thick, chunky, and full of crunch. From start to finish, Barcode Generation is played with the kind of spirit, energy, and enthusiasm you'd expect to hear from some young kids eager to make their mark. So, yeah, while I may have missed out on Drongos For Europe the first time around, make sure you don't let this band pass you by now" - taken from www.myspace.com/drongosforeurope
